Mission Statement

Phillips Mental Health Services mission is to help you as the individual address a wide variety of challenges, strengthen your interpersonal and familial relationships and promote insight into the decisions you make by providing you with confidential professional counseling.

Phillips Mental Health Services, "Where hope makes the impossible, POSSIBLE."

My Treatment Focus

My therapy style includes the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, and Behavior Modification.  CBT therapy is scientifically tested and is based on the cognitive model which is, simply that the way we perceive situations influences how we feel emotionally.

Client Focus

My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.

Depression & Anxiety

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.

Trauma & PTSD

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.

Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both couples and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.

This program is designed to enable participants to consider attitudes and behavior, support positive lifestyle changes, and reduce or eliminate the use of alcohol and/or drugs.  Evidenced-based curriculum is used for each program.

Alcoholism and/or drug addiction is a serious progressive illness that unless treated, can lead to mental, physical, and emotional pain. The goals of the program are to provide information about the emotional, physical, social, financial, and legal consequences of alcohol consumption and/or drug use to assist in preventing recidivism.  Individuals will learn to identify and understand his/her substance use patterns and their significance for self and others and to create an appropriate and comprehensive relapse prevention plan. Each participant will be provided with an individualized treatment plan based on a treatment needs assessment, alcohol & drug screening results and intake information.

Aftercare, or continuing care, is the stage following discharge from IOP, when the individual no longer requires services at the intensity required during initial treatment. This Aftercare Program will allow individuals the opportunity to continue receiving education on the disease of addiction and the recovery process. The program is designed to support and emphasize the recovery principles and lifestyle changes that begin in a primary treatment program. It will also provide opportunities to address circumstances and issues that can jeopardize successful, ongoing recovery.
